上海良工阀门厂有限公司创建于1946年，建厂初期成为旧上海工业的企业。在新中国成立以后，上海良工阀门厂积投身我国建设，针对国内工业阀门一篇空白的情况下，上海良工参与了工业阀门自力较生、自主生产的全过程，并作出了贡献。一九五二年上海良工阀门厂公私合营，为石油机械工业配套设计、制造的各种口径、压力等级的铸钢阀门和采油树，广泛应用于玉门、大庆等油田和以后新建的重大石化项目。其间，虽然上海良工厂是重灾区，但是广大的工程技术人员排除干扰，于一九七四年为我国自行设计制造的座核电站——秦山三十万千瓦核电站。研制的核二、闸阀、截止阀、止回阀、波纹管截止阀及核级阀门电动装置等产品。其使用状态良好，受到用户的高度评价。自九二年起，又为我国出口巴基斯坦30万千瓦核电站提供了核二、三、级闸阀、截止阀、止回阀、波纹管截止阀及阀门电动装置等产品，并于一九九五年获得了局颁发的核级阀门设计和制造。也是国内较早一批获得民用核承压设备设计、制造的少数单位之一。
